The most enraging frame “if you’re concerned about climate, then you should support nuclear” AGH. So close to establishing shared values, but instead just completely condescending

No, the *most* enraging frame is, "if you're concerned about climate, SCIENCE SAYS you have to support nuclear."

Yeah. I don’t think we should be arguing to harshly with each other about which of the things we need to do, since of course we literally need to do all of these things.

When arguing with the those who assert the need for nuclear despite the fact it is well demonstrated that it is prohibitively expensive, have you ever discovered that theirs is a perspective shaped by an interest in a “technical”, highly quantifiable approach providing control?

Central-station power does have that feeling to it, whereas with DERs you're depending on a lot of network & emergent effects. Feels fuzzy.

I'm sure that's how it feels, but that's not true. I'm a pro-nuclear socialist, and I think the anti-nuclear fanatics have doomed us all.

Nuclear is more often used by the right as a wedge. They are not acting in good faith. However, much of the left is poorly informed about nuclear and demonises it for no good reason. Nuclear is a technology with strengths and weaknesses, it's neither left nor right.
