New electric bike conversion kit dropped.
(I'm quite curious about these. Seems cheap & easy relative to a new e-bike, but ... is there a big market? Will be interesting to track.)

Once you have converted your bike to electric, you can convert your car, too!

Looks viable
I like that it's biased towards the bicycle side
I'm not sold on having to deal with the battery everytime I lock up

I’m in the market for an e-bike right now and very seriously considering on of these conversion kits instead. i think right now a new e-bike is kinda price prohibitive for a lotta people, so worse performance at a lower cost is pretty attractive

It's good for a gentle assist.
You can't charge your phone from the battery, unlike some others. The front-wheel drive physics take some getting used to. 4 months from order to receipt. The battery on their v1 was heavier, and made the bike topheavy. 1/

Seems nice. If one already has a nice bike this could make sense. But even with the current 60% discount this kit + cheap bike doesn't cost less than a cheap e-bike. When/if the discount ends it will actually be more expensive.

I bought an Electron Wheel before they went out of business, same idea, and meant to be even more all-in-one just by replacing the wheel. Separating the battery & motor seems like a good idea to keep the bike balanced. Most ppl will need install help.
