Quibble- I am really not convinced of proposition #1. (About left owned media) It’s a VERY different audience, with very different habits, objectives and motivations. Status threat is a powerful motivator and I’m not sure there’s anything comparable for the left.

I'd get tired of watching, but this is pretty much what a left-leaning Fox would program, day after day until people's brains were wired to think like they want.
But to match Fox you'd have to mix in some disinformation.

It's true: Most Dem elected view legislating as their only real duty. But shaping public opinion, winning elections, and building a MASS MOVEMENT for democracy needs to be part of every elected Democrat's work. Who exemplifies this best? Sanders and AOC, but there are others too.
yup. and both MSNBC (at 11pm, with williams gone) and CNN (9PM -cuomo's firing) have an hour each night to do something like this...
they could even call it truthful parody
You know what i can’t recall seinf or hearing? An anecdotal article or segment about someone who has benefited from higher wages, better employment opportunities, or any Biden policies. All I see are stories about the scourge of inflation.

And the real irony here is, if such an alternative existed, these would mostly be valid points to raise, as opposed to Fox’s War on Christmas, Kamala’s Cookware, etc. etc. etc.
You could fill a fair chunk of programming just combatting right-wing disinformation on the pandemic, vaccines, racism, the climate crisis, trans people, immigration, foreign policy, science, etc. All the things the corporate media “bothsides” to avoid annoying anyone with power.
