    Increasing both the minimum wage and Earned Income Tax Credits (EITCs) by 10% would likely prevent over 700 suicides each year.

    This graphic shows the number 787 in large font. 787 is the number of suicides that a 10% increase in minimum wage and EITC (earned income tax credits) would prevent each year. This data point is thanks to research from Policies for Action, one of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s signature research programs.
