Some crackpot. Interested in 'mathematical intuition', whatever that is.

Relatedly: linear algebra would be *much* easier if, at the beginning of the course, the professor explained that it has only a couple of ideas, explained over and over in different terms.https://twitter.com/Meaningness/status/947639049413468160 …
David Chapman added,
Only problem with this is that everyone comes out thinking it's a slightly different couple of ideas (the list in that post is great at explaining why)
Isn’t that the reason it would be good to say this up front? “These dozen things are all the same thing, so learn one of them thoroughly first, then understand how the others are it in disguise, and when to use each.”
Yeah, think you're right. Sure I had some actual thoughts on this this morning, but a migraine has wiped any trace of brainpower I had :(
Sorry to hear! I have a cold that has left me brain-dead, so I’m reading about upper respiratory infection epidemiology instead of writing about eggplants.
I still have two months of leftover internet nonsense that I missed, so I can mine that for braindead stuff
Would be interested to hear how the internet fast went
Yes it was good! More a diet than a fast, I just banned all my usual websites so I had to look harder for distractions.
I'm happy if I can just replicate the old feeling of being bored on the internet, and exploring, rather than always having some sort of feed or forum to refresh
But inevitably I end up spending less time there too. (I'm still on Twitter less, which is why this reply has been so slow)
I read the Kuhn postscript today, btw! You're right that it clarifies his intentions a lot
