Been working through this and now have a much better idea of how Anki could help with conceptual learning. I am really intrigued by it for note taking. Will have to dedicate some time to it in classes this fall. Incidentally, I feel I have never taken good notes — IB program in high school introduced me to Cornell style, but choice of topics to highlight is critical with that system.

My note taking is very patchy and haphazard. Used to do OK in lectures as they were the kind of chalk-and-talk maths style where you just copy down everything, but outside that situation I have no idea how to take good ones.
