Yes, this is good! The focus on 'universal experience' (e.g. https://twitter.com/Scholars_Stage/status/1089098382772064256 … ) is maybe a bit strange to me...
I'm also doubtful about how much that really exists anymore, if it ever did. The idea of it being represented in older literature is likely an artifact of extreme exclusion and relative homogeneity. But the loss of that illusion hurts too, I think. Don't know how to fix that.
Why wouldn't there be some basic communalities in being human in a human world?
... the main thing I miss from that third 'beauty' strand is more like an extreme particularism. Vividly specific individual experiences are also really resistant to being coopted into power narratives, or aggregated into data...
