I recently listened to this excelent interview with Hubert Dreyfus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LG5nCkcZm-g … where he juxtaposes "involved" and "detached" perspectives. I thought it sounded a lot like decoupling/contextualizing, although a bit different.
