also woohoo he explains what he personally means by 'Bayesian methods' and 'predictive processing' in the comments, so I can finally stop banging my head against trying to figure it out

Just learned that my dad kept some of the wonderful 10p-a-sheet bargain rack wrapping paper I bought as a teenager. Spot the hidden message

I think I'm sort of half flipped. Like your blog commenter here: Need to go further and understand this reply of yours. So yeah I need to read some ethnomethodology I think.

Sounds like people did call bs, including one of the authors of that paper (must be sick of it now if he started in 1989...) But not enough people, by the sound of it.

E.g. bat and ball answer is intentional (a 'Type 2' trait) - you're trying to answer the question. But also uncontrollable ('Type 1') - you get the stupid 10 cents answer whether you like it or not.

If you were expecting this to end with a satisfying conclusion... um, no, I'm still confused and have lots of questions. Some of which are here! So let me know if you have any helpful insights or references.

I drew a dodgy picture of the geometry of magic states in the Bloch sphere. The magic ones are outside the octahedron. The further you are from it, the more magic they are.

Example: |0>. We know the Qz measurement exactly. No idea about the other two. Plot it on 'qubit phase space' like this:
