I love Visual Studio
@code. But it's too slow. Electron is the worst piece of tech and it should never have existed. Period.
What's slow about it? If you have anything specific and are willing to help diagnose it, the team is pretty receptive to performance suggestions.

Every tried using vim mode in VS code? Now I own an 8th gen i7 ThinkPad which I deem is pretty decent. But when I'm typing in a flow, the cursor lags behind. Words appear after I've typed it. I've thought about moving to Sublime but the JavaScript support is not as good.

I was having the same issue, disabled Vim and solved the problem.
