I fear you’re missing the point. Someone with a junior high school science education can point out the dangers of alternative medicine / pseudoscience. Is that how you want to spend your days? Or do you want more of a challenge using your 7+ years of training after college?

You and Dr Prasad miss the point that people like @SBMPediatrics @gorskon and @JHowardBrainMD do far more than criticize quackery. They apply the same critical thinking skillset to mainstream medicine too. Anyone that spent 2 min reading their writings would appreciate that

And I don’t belong in the same league as those guys who have been doing this for years. I wrote one book on critical thinking where I discuss CAM plenty, but also pharma flaws, poor trial design, overtesting, overtreatments, use of unproven treatments, etc

It’s also a question of audience. Is it worthwhile to point out dangers of alt med to docs trained in the scientific method? No. Is it worth it to so to the general public who are often seriously harmed? I think so.

If combatting pseudoscience were so easy, you wouldn’t be here making this comment. Please don’t tell me you also believe the people that are preyed upon deserve it, because that’s the impression I get.
