Herd immunity is the desirable outcome of a national immunisation program.
It is NOT a strategy for preventing illness and death from an uncontrolled infectious disease.

Closing schools also withdraws many many of our health care professionals from treating COVID-19 infected patients as well as the rest of the sick population. Otherwise who else is there to look after their healthy kids?
