The more that people ride bikes, the more hip fractures and cranial bleeds we will see. The pandemic is essentially done. Human life has to be more than avoiding one pathogen. With respect...sir, please, stop.https://twitter.com/DrTomFrieden/status/1369771780236316681 …

The more people who gather indoors, the greater chance that someone could spread Covid and that someone else, perhaps with an underlying condition they're not aware of, could be infected and get seriously ill.

Ky has vaccinated about 1 in 3 older people. CT has done even better. The vaccine squelches severe cases Millions have natural immunity. Young have almost no risk The pandemic (of bad disease) is nearly over. And this is a really worthy cause of celebration!!!!!!

Essentially done? Tell that to the families of the 5,000 Americans who will be killed by it this week. Yes, it's better and going to get better still. But many lives still depend on sensible measures, masking, avoiding super spreading while vaccines continue to roll out.

I agree with most our your statement as an incentive to be vaccinated, except with the part that the pandemic is “essentially done”. The US is not the whole world and we can avoid a last final wave if we the privileged and vaccinated lead by example.

NO. There isn't any reason that mitigation strategies cannot be adhered to, as people's lives slowly normalize once again. Ignoring common sense in favor of increased transmission speaks volumes to those who read your comments. Just stop already

Until and unless the number of people in the US who are vaccinated increases markedly, the pandemic will not be "done" nor until thousands stop dying. The fall in cases post vaccination efforts in the UK has been marked. It is a shame more have not been vaccinated in the US.

comparing an activity that has built in, known risks, to <gathering indoors> is a stretch if it's 'essentially done'
