When a person hits that subscribe button they are saying, I want this person's content... not I want you @Youtube to decide what portion of content I get.... C'mon guys, to subscribe is an action, which means that sub is saying, give me this content

In the past, some viewers were frustrated with how many notifications they received. Not everyone felt that way, so we added the bell. For any subs who are worried they're missing content, they can get all notifications by changing their settings here: http://goo.gl/XLDtz4

All of the videos will still show up in your subs feed. As not every sub wanted to receive a proactive notification, we created the bell so viewers had a choice.

I’m sorry but if I subscribe to someone it’s because I want to be notified of any videos they upload. It should be the other way around. Subscribe and... be notified of any uploads (default) / receive notification digest / don’t notify.

if I get bombarded with notifications, I should be given the option to “silence” certain people who I have subscribed to, but still see them in the feed. The whole bell thing is backwards and ridiculous because most videos now start with “click that bell icon”
