Who ever advocated "outrage in the exam room" or against empathy for vaccine-hesitant parents? No one that I'm aware of. Certainly not me, Peter, or any other physician speaking out against the antivaccine movement and for vaccines.

They also seem to ignore the difference between social media commentary and what we say to patients in the privacy of the exam room. Does anyone think that I actually rant and berate breast cancer patients who went to the naturopath before coming to me with advanced tumors?

This is SO true. There's a major misunderstanding in certain areas about how to deal with vaccines lies on social media. Which really isn't helping. 72 people died of measles across Europe last year. This is very real. And
#VaccinesWork and#Antivaxxers exist.

The Guardian has been particularly bad recently, with several opinion pieces saying you just need to educate people more and stop being so mean. WTF do these people think is going on?

I am going to go with a "should". Doctors should tell people who aren't vaccinating their kids that they are stupid fools who risk harming or killing their children or others.
