In the last year, courts have ruled that 1) Round-up causes cancer 2) Talc causes cancer 3) Wi-Fi causes cancer 4) Vaccines cause SIDs All of which are completely bloody wrong, clashing entirely with scientific data. The law is an ass - especially when it comes to science.

...I was JUST thinking with all the blocking I've had to do today from people calling me a shill that I was surpised the cannabis-cures-everything people hadn't joined in. Then I checked my email. I guess Cannabis doesn't cure aggression 😐- one for @DrJenGunter @TheresaNewIdeapic.twitter.com/qnDeRxnQBf

You know far more than I David. But I have zero faith in huge multinationals to do anything other than fight tooth and nail to prevent huge brand damage and corporate losses (often despite what they know privately). History shows us it's happened many times in recent history.

All the more reason for us to support public funding for nonpartisan science. The fewer conflicts of interest in these reports, the more trustworthy they become.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5705608/ …

Please stop using these cranks as evidence for anything. They are responsible for a huge amount of the misinformation on this topic--from the Seralini rats on. And they suck at data. More to come on that.

Juries are rarely well-equipped to understand science but are really good at empathizing and sympathizing. And you know this is a contingency case where the lawyers get a huge chunk of any settlement that eventually gets paid.

Are these all decisions by juries rather than judges?

Combination. The WiFi one and vaccine one were by judge. Others jury.
