One of my crankiest views is that homework has at best slightly +ev for learning outcomes, and probably in most cases is value detractive. Like, it's mostly an excuse for society to select against kids with a bad home life

there’re some no hw Scandinavian countries i guess. primary school in Germany may have also a different approach as we were learned back in high school but not exactly sure about it
