The biggest challenge with running a cryptocurrency trading desk is everything in this industry is a shiny toy and you only have a finite amount of capital and time (the scarcer resource) to focus on doing a few things.

yes, completely agree. that was where my initial comment came from re choosing where to focus. i've always had the biggest breakthroughs in tradfi when i stop trying to do a lot of things "well" and dedicate resources to mastery of certain subsets.

The thing is also that many if not most of the edges in crypto haven't been sanded away by market maturation yet, so there's inevitably a larger opportunity space than there otherwise might be. I suspect in 5 yrs it will feel less hectic
