the beauty of web based UI is that you just make it as dumb as possible and leave the latency concerns and business logic for everything under the local websocket

I'm a retail algo trader so we're dealing with very different stacks but I like the web UI approach. It allows for fast UI iteration & in my case, by coding business logic in C, I can execute at the device edge as WebAssembly browser threads or move the same code to network edge.
