since GME/AMC-palooza is back on the TL (for some reason, can’t imagine why!) i thought it might be useful to review the fundamentals of the business relationship between MMs and retail brokerages

I have no problem with market makers or payment for order flow but just bc the Apes are wrong doesn’t mean MM/HFT are actually doing something “good” for the world. Furthermore they do break the rules all the time and sometimes get caught while receiving slaps on the wrist.
