To be fair- even if that’s not actually the reason he did it, wouldn’t he still reference the infrastructure bill if they pushed to get rid of the filibuster?
I mean yeah, we'll never know his true inner thought process, but this theory makes a whole lot more sense than McConnell suddenly breaking a decade plus record of obstructionism out of a sense of duty or something like that
