if anyone learned anything from my 90 day run as celebrity lumber trader, I hope it's how to read the futures curve/term structure. (contango, backwardation, inverted curve) The curve doesn't tell you what you think it does at first glance. In fact, it's normally the opposite!

In my experience, products that have a significant volatility awakening rarely go back to sleep, at least not all of the way, so I suspect you will remain market-relevant for far longer than you think.
