I didn't know this. This is obviously not the case here. How is it on other countries? Spontaneously seems weird. Why do they do this in the US?https://twitter.com/OrganizingPow3r/status/1424030901051305987 …

why do they require vax? to avoid an outbreak of disease among the staff, students, and faculty when people go back to campus. from what I am aware in person teaching will be the norm this school year

But why is this only required in the US? What's special about the US?

ah i see your question. not sure, maybe aversion to liability lawsuits? we are a famously litigious people

but also just generically i think its that they don't want people to be sick on campus, which benefits everyone across the board

It's not really a problem here though. In spite of no mandates. So maybe it solves a non existing problem

campuses were a major locus for infection last school year, people do not want a repeat. it was an unmitigated catastrophe so I'm sure a lot of the motivation comes from that:https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/11/us/college-campus-outbreak-covid.html …

I guess US has more on campus living which could be a part of the exploration

yeah this is definitely true, particularly for large schools in smaller college towns
