I mean get rid of the entire entity and take it out of legislative process
It'll leave an inevitable void that lobbyists will happily step into, I'm no fan of the CBO as it presently exists but you don't want to create the federal equivalent of ALEC

the only reason ALEC is such a force is because state government’s staffs are so weak. Bolstering up Congressional staff back to what it was in the 70s will erase the need for the CBO and allow them to tell lobbyists to fuck off when they come in with a scaremongering deck

dont disagree there. would also like to see pay minimums raised to 85k across the board for all staffers
