ugh this will make me sound like such a law and economics dork i'm sorry but i do wonder if in the next pandemic that requires very fast mass vaccination if people will hold out for incentives (ideally you just do them upfront i guess)

Obviously I'm (mostly) trolling but, like, in a world where we're already mandating vaccinations for students and public employees it doesn't seem like a very far bridge! Could also do a blend and make your tax returns contingent on it

We already mandate vaccination for k-12 students, nobody seemed to mind before covid. Why should other public space be any different? I think the right to make one's own health decisions has to be weighed against the public benefit society reaps from people not spreading covid
