Buy a new modem and wifi router instead of the shitty ones they give you, in home setups those are usually the choke points
You notice the sleigh of hand they do because when they install it they measure your speed directly from the wall and in my case it was literally 10x slower through the default router they then attached
can confirm, returning all their devices to them and buying your own (superior) ones is a speed-improvement and a cost savings. also you dont have to deal with their nightly pushing of updates /signal that cause device to reboot
Yup, defo buy your own modem. I’d also say run cat6 to your machine, but I know you kids are into this newfangled wireless business.
imagine a rental apartment laid out so the workstation is close to the modem
i literally ran cable in my rental apartment to achieve this lmao
I assume you guys just ran the cable through the center of the room to reduce latency?
Pffft not having datacenter grade infrastructure in your apartment, ngmipic.twitter.com/wKo28Txjhe
