Listed prices wouldnt accurately reflect the market though, the largest consumers of cloud compute (who would presumably be the participants in a futures market) already get long term deals with special pricing and negotiate bilaterally with the major providers

It actually describes a lot of futures markets until the futures market get big enough that private contacts get negotiated relative to futures (energy)
