It feels very off-putting — though not surprising — that most basketball media is jumping straight to "where should the Blazers trade Damian Lillard?" instead of unpacking the hiring of both Billups and Kidd.

I once heard someone refer to it as “NBA state media” and I haven’t gotten that out of my head since
