Figure out what strategy you want to code, set it to qty 1, then let it loose. Put some bubble wrap around it, but it doesn't do a lot of good to learn to code for X if you're gonna end up coding Y. Start where you intend to finish, if that's possible.

honestly I'd go quantity over quality unless you specifically know you'll be working with one type of project specifically w that language in the future. Flexibility probably your best friend.

the way I learned Python is by emulating an existing project I was already familiar with. It lets you compare expected vs actual behaviors really really easily.
