      Someone reached out about a job I might know something about and asked if I could offer tips for their cover letter. That is SUCH a better approach than "Can we hop on the phone so I can hear about your journey?" Neither of us care about my journey! And tips are easier to give

      This is kind of a half baked thought but I think there's something about liberal arts brain that gives students/early grads a built in aversion to the transactional parts of networking. I didnt really learn how to properly do this until well into working tbh
