there is some science in frontal lobe development etc. that I think you could use. it does seem wildly inconsistent that you can drive at 16, vote and join the military and smoke at 18, drink at 21, etc.
Sure of course, but my point is more generally that voting rights are either competency based or they aren't And if voting isn't competency based there is no good reason that we should close out anyone from political participation on the basis of their brain development

When you think about the sentence "we should restrict who gets to vote on the basis on their brain size" and take it at face value, you realize how close it is to some very racist and ableist policy history in the US
