This take sucks ass, social shame is how communities enforce social norms. Even in the absence of legal restrictions people have a duty to say what isn't acceptable. Right now indoor dining puts others at risk. Let the friend recover first, but cut them out of your life afterward

It does make a difference because only indoors is high risk, a review of 7300 cases found only one outbreak that occurred outdoors. It totally changes the moral caculus on if you should end a friendship. And I would feel the same even if they were reckless and hadn't gotten covid
