It's not an original observation, but the fact that Nancy Pelosi has been in power for 18 years and has *never* won the House on her own merits is stunningly incompetent. She either coattailed a popular Dem nominee (2008/2020) or popular disgust with a GOP incumbent (2006, 2018).

I mean....look, I am not a fan, but this seems like "if we assume Pelosi has never won the House, she's never won the House" to me, which is much less astute than my expectation of your posts tbh.

She consistently run behind Dem presidents who won the PV, the House was +1% in raw votes in 2012 vs. Obama +4%, -1% vs. +3% in 2016, 2020 still TBD but looks like she lagged. Gerrymandering doesn't explain that!

while you can use this arg to dunk on Pelosi, you can also use the same logic to dunk on AOC/Omar, who also lagged behind the Dem POTUS twoway vote share. I'd just be careful with it is all I'm saying!

No you can't, because AOC and Omar are not party leaders tasked with setting national strategy. I'm not claiming Pelosi ran behind Obama in her district, I'm claiming house Dems *as a whole* ran behind Obama nationally, and Pelosi is in charge of House Dems.
