Times like these I am reminded of how many current members of congress started their careers during the heyday of pork barrel spending, bringing home random construction projects, etc IMO a lot of them still think politics works that way, where you do pork to get votes

Pork like infrastructure projects was actually good, but now the only pork allowed are cop funds and tax cuts. If Democrats were smart they’d start allocating funds for a big and gigantic new federal agency and put its headquarters in Fort Lauderdale.
