The "what does it take to build a lacrosse program so my kid can go to a good college" donor pool is really something. https://bit.ly/37utZKL pic.twitter.com/r9CGgUPm80

Area Parent Realizes College Athletes Are Not Weenies Like Their Kid is a good bit I'd like to see more of.pic.twitter.com/ybCVc3AwFW
Rather than complain about market liquidity, they simply moved into a more liquid market.
Walk and talk around the crease. I’d watch it.
I’m a virgin non sports guy but I really don’t understand the “get my kid into competitive sports to get into an ivy” thing. Maybe I’m assuming going to a top tier university requires you to be ~smarter~ than the average HS student, not “better at running”
If you're good enough at sports the academic bar goes down dramatically. A guy who was dumb as a rock but an incredible lacrosse player at my HS made it into Penn but transferred out after a year because he couldn't hack it
somewhat surprising because so often the experience once kids get to the Penns is "hmm this isn't so hard after all"
Look I will be the first to clown on the ivies for being a grade inflated cakewalk but this guy was truly a dummy, cannot emphasize it enough
to think this fellow was just a few Cs away from sales and trading at MS
