      I joke and ironypost a lot on here but right now it doesn't feel very funny. People working unstable jobs for 50hrs/week making min. wage are ground into dust with no safety net. Black and Mexican people are brutally abused by law enforcement. Sick people forgo treatment and die

      Boomer NIMBYs have pulled the ladder up on affordable housing and cut off supply for the rest of us, environmental disaster has rendered huge swathes of the country uninhabitable. Pensions are being depleted and household formation is more delayed than ever before

      Probably most of us want something better but right now there is no real mechanism for change that will even come close to what is needed. I wonder what else there is besides protecting myself from the damage caused by the shambolic, slow-motion implosion of this sorry country
