Boomer NIMBYs have pulled the ladder up on affordable housing and cut off supply for the rest of us, environmental disaster has rendered huge swathes of the country uninhabitable. Pensions are being depleted and household formation is more delayed than ever before
all the while a minoritarian government of geriatric white men slash taxes for the rich and entrench rubber stamp judges who will accelerate democratic backsliding and erode legal protections for the vulnerable by judicial fiat
Probably most of us want something better but right now there is no real mechanism for change that will even come close to what is needed. I wonder what else there is besides protecting myself from the damage caused by the shambolic, slow-motion implosion of this sorry country
