Are there any quant/value investors up now? Here's a question I've been wondering about. If you look at a cohort of "cheap" stocks (say lowest quintile P/B ratio), is there more correlation among the components than that same group would've been, say 20 or 50 years ago?

Or another way of thinking about it. Has awareness of "value" as a factor made value stocks behave more similarly to each other than they did when the concept wasn't really understood?

I guess the question could be act of any factor (eg momentum). Has awareness of factors (and productization of factors, in the form of factor-specific ETFs) created more correlation among stocks in the factor?

Probably yeah, I mean the emergence of factor-based fund products alone has made these strategies more homogenous because of how big the funds are
