On learning of this I was reminded of my own college experience, where having even a single full time offer at the beginning of senior year was vanishingly rare.
No policy needed since the school had no formal relationships with job recruiters

TIL that some schools have explicit policies preventing students from accepting job offers before a certain cutoff to protect them from exploding offers. This way they can accumulate offers and weigh choices sensibly
