As I’m sure you know, it certainly isn’t unique to baseball! #letkidsplay

The umpire at my kid's Little League game just had to warn the "fans" to watch their language and lower the temperature, and was right to do so. It's embarrassing. What the fuck is wrong with people? (I hang out by myself behind left or right field, by the way.)

Got to meet Arnold Palmer there when I was a kid (1973) I was attending his golf camp in VT and they took a few of us to watch the tour event. I also remember grass tennis courts at Westchester. A first for a hick from the sticks!

This is where I started my teaching career. The incredible Westchester CC which includes a beach location, 45 holes of golf and a huge polo field as the range. I cut the back of that polo field 3x each week. Often taught on that side! In Rye, NY. @metpga #westchesterny

1970s jr golf memories with 3 friends aged 16, 15, 13, 11 (me:)Parents tossed us keys to station wagon so we could drive 4 hrs down to Boston for NE Jr Open. Said “Have fun, see you when you get back.” Life was so much different then!

During a lesson I asked a lady what her target was. Her reply; “The golf ball.” Not what I expected, but not a bad answer!

Had a guy in the school yesterday who was kind of struggling. He was playing Caledonia immediately afterwards, so I was a little worried about him. Came in today to tell me he had never hit the ball better than he had yesterday. Love when that happens!

Text today from guy who was recently elected President of his section thanking me for my mentoring. 99.9% due to his own efforts, but that .01% kinda brings tears to my eyes.

I certainly have pet peeves and preferences but, after 40 years of teaching golf, I don’t have a direct answer as to my “methodology.” Every player possesses their own “Swing DNA” and I try to work within those parameters.

If you’re playing fairly well and you mess up a shot, don’t obsess over it. Sometimes you just plain miss, even if your technique is pretty good. That’s golf!

Been looking for my 56 degree wedge. Turned out a student accidentally took it back to Connecticut. Oh well. It’s peak season. Won’t need it for a while.

Many players I teach have an astounding amount of tension in hands/arms/wrists/shoulders (everywhere!) at setup. Suggested to many they go home and soak in a vat of WD40. (Please don’t actually do it)

Fun to watch / teach this player. Texted this pic to my daughter and told her I got a new driver. She claimed BS immediately.

Guy in our golf school this week owns a brewery in Virginia, so, naturally…….. Hope to sample some while watching the “toonamint.”

Your best golf is often after you have declared you’re going to quit playing the game. Then you finish par, par, birdie.

I keep a Frisbee around for (right handed) golfers to throw left handed or side arm it with right hand. Either way helps with feel of rotation and sequencing.

Play 9 holes hitting 1 more club into green than usually needed but on “cruise control.” Bet you can’t wait to play the back nine!

If you’re hitting it poorly on the range, go putt & chip for a while. If you’re hitting it great on the range, go putt & chip for a while.

Worked with a really cool young man today with 145mph driver speed, and he can play! Lots of fun to watch. BTW he’s 6’9”.

My son in law received this ring today. His double A team in NJ won their division last year. He got promoted to Triple A as a strength and conditioning coach. Proud of him even though Mrs Dresser and I are huge fans!

I often refer to a player’s most significant swing flaw as their “kryptonite” and really go to work on that one area, at first.
