Noticing TERF detransitioners talking amongst themselves lately about how getting pregnant helped w their gender dysphoria. Which adds a new sinister layer to their resistance to young trans people getting blockers & their emphasis on "alternate treatments" for transness

so it's very interesting.... to see these self identified feminist women claim that they want other "women" to feel good in their bodies, and to be free. all while reducing them to their reproductive parts & chests, and objectifying those parts as objects "for" a purpose

It's amazing how much these supposedly radically feminist gender abolitionists sound & think EXACTLY like the conservative women I grew up around who told me constantly that i'd change my mind about not wanting to have kids, and could conceive of no other way for me to live

That it has a purpose means it’s not just an object. Ears for hearing. Of course everything has or had a purpose. That you have free will, does not negate it. Someday, you will learn, as all others have, that your beliefs were based on what you know now. Nothing more.

What is the purpose of a person?

This is really not a very well thought though tweet. There is nothing wrong with pointing out what different parts of the body are for. The eyes are for seeing. The heart is for pumping blood round the body, etc. Pretending acknowledging this is bad frankly sounds insane.

Tell that to anyone who’s had a transplant. Idiocy.

Transplants are frequently rejected by the body, so does that mean they are "for" one thing in one person and another in another? My kidneys have a different purpose from yours?

If someone poked your eyes out would your liver take over the vision job? Clearly not, eyes are for seeing, lungs are for breathing, no other body parts can do those jobs. Some body parts have reproductive function. It's nonsensical and, frankly, implausible to pretend otherwise
