Absolutely not. Discharging these patients with home nursing care to be quarantined at home would have been better than nursing homes. It was a death sentence for those poor patients stuck in those nursing homes. Who pushed @NYGovCuomo team to do this???
It doesn’t seem like a good policy to take any level of risk with nursing homes, but were these patients likely contagious? Most of the data we have seems to suggest not, regardless of what the RT-PCR test says.
Not sure what data you are looking at but consensus amongst most experts I’ve heard from is: we have no idea
Not only that, nursing homes allegedly are “testing twice a week” by testing every 6 days instead
