    If I’m flying to another country, I feel I am morally obligated to reduce the chances that I will consume their limited health care resources if I get sick. Altruism only goes so far, and basic insurance will barely cover two days in an ICU.

    Allow me to be clear, sweating does not make you unhygienic. It cools you off. I ride, I sweat, I dry off. I wash my hands. I work. No, I don’t shower, no I don’t smell bad. Yes I’m very fit, and yes I’m very happy.

    Moar ebikes, sure, yadda yadda, but I think we also need to lose the pathological aversion to sweating. Breaking a sweat on a regular basis is good for you, seems like we should just "normalize" (ugh, that word...) showing up places a little funky.

    Wow overworked doc telling it like it is

    To many people can’t access primary care. The volume of complex patients showing up in my office with no where else to go has never been like this. Ever. I started today at 5:40am in the hospital then insanely busy office and I’m just ending paperwork now at 9:20pm. All week.

    Before you tell me this was due to a medical condition let me give you a tour of the trauma ward. This driver should have to go through a full medical and subsequent drivers’s exam before being allowed back on the road.
