The UN also invented Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, etc... but they're not whining about that... only the Jewish state. And in it's creation, the USA did very little to support Israel while it was being attacked by 5 arab armies...
the US did invent what we refer to as "Israel" (State of), after WWII, along with a few allies.
