I will continue to protect the safety of all San Franciscans — residents, crime victims, public servants and those who live and work in our jails. Though I know my efforts can’t protect my own father, I hope they will save someone else’s.https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2020-05-06/mass-incarceration-san-francisco-coronavirus …

Your parents' actions -decoys, not just drivers- led to *the murder of 3 ppl*. Your father refused to recognize the authority of the court. He isn't a victim; the people he killed, and their families, were the victims. Choices have consequences; felony murderers belong in prison.

Opportunistically using a pandemic in which thousands are dying - particularly front-line responders! - to reframe your dad's actions and push a political agenda is one of the most extraordinarily craven things I've yet seen from a politician.

do you refute the assertion that social isolation and basic hygiene levels in prisons make them breeding grounds for the virus? or that this will hurt everyone in community if it happens?

They are not there by mistake, they've been convicted of a crime. Why should a pandemic mean mass release? Why should their crimes suddenly be forgiven and mass freedom granted due to health risks we are also facing outside of prison? What about the victims of their crimes?

can you answer my question though? having massive outbreaks in prisons will hurt the prison staff and it will get out into the community, hurting everyone. do you think we can contain it better in prisons? scientists say social isolation is the best method.

Yes I think they should remain in prison and the situation should be dealt with while they remain behind bars. I do not think there should have been a mass release of violent criminals and time will prove why. I will be sure to send you the articles of their victims.

but it’s impossible to deal with it behind bars, that’s what i’ve been saying. you’re arguing with emotion right now, go ahead and send me any article you want.
