Interested to know: do you think eye contact makes a person seem friendly/ trustworthy? I’ve always struggled with it (I can make myself do it, but don’t like it at all) so curious how other people perceive it, since I rarely notice whether someone’s doing it because I’m not!
I feel uncomfortable trying to maintain eye contact with someone, except at work while I'm presenting something and I notice someone looking me in the eyes I'll feel more comfortable and will generally focus more on them. Day to day conversations though I struggle.

I think context does make a difference, come to think of it. I can do presentations and look each person in the eye a few times, but one-to-one I find much harder. I guess it's more intense; it's sustaining it that I find uncomfortable. Glad to know I'm not the only one, anyway!

Yeah I always over think it if I try to maintain eye contact. I start worrying about it rather than focusing on the conversation!
