Whoever put together the inventory for our flat was so meticulous they actually included a dead fly they found as part of it and left it there for us

On a side note, is a fly called a fly because flies fly, or is flying called flying because flies fly?
But lots of other things fly too so my assumption is that the guy in charge of naming stuff was just really done by the time he got to the fly.
