Whoever put together the inventory for our flat was so meticulous they actually included a dead fly they found as part of it and left it there for us

They could have cleaned that up
amazing level of detail though. I once had read an inventory that marked everything as great or excellent and I considered sending them addresses of opticians as they weren't looking at the same place
oh no, at least maybe you could get away with not cleaning it so much when you left?

In the end we didn't move in as there were some safety concerns (holes in walls and suspicions of rats, there were a few other things from electrics and security) and with the inventory not matching up we went back to them and talked about it and didn't move. Not worth it.
