The accepted manuscript for our new paper on amacrine cell inputs to parasol ganglion cells is online at Journal of Comparative Neurology! This is the 1st paper from a fun serial EM collaboration between the Neitz, Ogilvie and Marshak labs.

Diversity work is how we fill this gap... - So much on this page resonates. Many of my PhD friends are denied the dignity of being called Doctor, while their colleagues needn’t insist. Has the academy ever denied you what you have earned?

  14. Almost everyone here is a department chair or director or University president. This manel reveals an underlying problem at our institutions. We need better representation at those top levels.

The last piece of work from my postdoc, which I am most proud of: how to split a populaton of neurons into ON and OFF. Elegant math and many experimental predictions : Functional diversity among sensory neurons from efficient coding principles
