Quite struck on this visit how ubiquitous and how pointless cookie warnings are on the web in Europe. It’s more surprising to click through and *not* see a warning than to see one.

It's clearly (and was clearly always going to be) a UX disaster. Have you seen any public opinion data indicating what % of people see it as such? Is anyone satisfied? And are the EC regulators patting themselves on the back... or wondering what they hath wrought?
